Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support hospitalized patients under the supervision of registered nurses. The role offers part-time day/evening shifts with 0.5-0.7 FTE (20-56 hours per week) and on-site interview opportunities.

Training is provided with no prior healthcare experience required, and you will gain essential skills in daily living activities, vital signs, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and able to read, write, and understand English.
• Completion of 12 college credits OR high school diploma/GED with Nursing Assistant training preferred.
• BLS for Health Care Providers certification or orientation-provided training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including activities of daily living.
• Obtain and document vital signs and intake/output in EHR.
• Maintain a safe patient care environment following established protocols.
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team to support care delivery.
