Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is hiring Patient Care Assistants (PCA) for part-time day/evening shifts 0.5-0.7 FTE, 20-56 hours per week, on-site at the Northwest Medical Complex. A structured training program and no prior healthcare experience required, with opportunities to interview onsite after application.

As a PCA you will support nurses by helping with daily living activities, record vital signs in the EHR, uphold safety practices, and communicate with patients and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and able to read, write, communicate in English.
• Must follow written and verbal directions.
• Basic Life Support certification may be provided during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living.
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient information in the EHR.
• Support a safe patient care environment by following safety protocols.
• Communicate with patients and healthcare team to support care delivery.
