ECU Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse at ECU Health Medical Center. The role aligns with NC NAI guidelines and may include observer duties on a designated unit.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to infection control, and patient safety, with active licensure and HeartSaver certification required. 0.8 FTE, rotating shifts, weekends possible.

Qualificações

• High School or GED is preferred - or higher.
• NAI listing with NC Department of Health and Human Services is required.
• Current American Heart Association HeartSaver or higher certification is required.
• De-escalation training (Non-violent crisis intervention or other de-escalation program adopted by ECU Health). If not current at the time of hire must complete within 90 days of employment and maintain without lapse during employment.

Responsabilidades

• Participates in Quality Improvement (QI) activities and data collection.
• Attends staff development programs and contributes to education of staff and students.
• Follows hospital and unit policies and maintains active NAI licensure/certification.
• Demonstrates teamwork, effective communication, and conflict resolution.
• Contributes to unit goals and supports cost-effective use of equipment and supplies.
• Under supervision of a licensed nurse, assists with direct patient care and delegated skills.
• Monitors patients for escalating behavior and communicates with the care team.
