Job summary

ECU Health North Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to perform delegated patient care tasks under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The role aligns with the NAI listing and requires active licensure, HeartSaver certification, and adherence to hospital policies within a team-based environment.

Responsibilities include participation in quality improvement, staff education, and effective handoffs with the care team.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is preferred - or higher.
• NAI listing with NC Department of Health and Human Services is required.
• Current American Heart Association HeartSaver or higher certification is required.
• De-escalation training must be completed within 90 days of employment (not required for Ambulatory positions).

Responsibilities

• Participates in Quality Improvement activities and data collection.
• Attends staff development programs and participates in orientation.
• Follows policies and procedures and maintains licensure.
• Maintains teamwork and effective communication with care team.
• Assists in providing direct patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
