Job summary

Qualifications

• High School or GED is preferred or higher.
• NAI listing with NC Department of Health and Human Services is required.
• Current American Heart Association HeartSaver or higher certification is required.
• De-escalation training (Non-violent crisis intervention or equivalent) must be completed within 90 days of employment if not current at hire.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Quality Improvement (QI) activities and data collection.
• Attends staff development programs and completes required education; participates in orientation of new staff.
• Provides quality patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse; adheres to unit and hospital policies.
• Maintains licensure/certification; engages in professional teamwork and effective communication.
• Maintains patient safety by monitoring escalating behaviors and reporting risks to the care team.
• Assists in unit and hospital goal setting, and supports cost-effective use of equipment and supplies.
