Responsibilities

• Performs specified patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse, including basic hygiene, unsterile treatments, vital signs, and ROM exercises.
• Acts as patient advocate, maintains communication, and respects patient rights and confidentiality.
• Monitors patient status and notifies nurses of changes in condition as needed.
• Document care activities and vital signs in the patient record.
• Maintain sanitation, infection control, safety, and equipment usage; report deficiencies.
• Escort patients, assist with translations when needed, and deliver specimens as applicable.
• Suggests workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.
• Pursue ongoing education and professional growth to support quality nursing care.
