Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have completed a formal nurse aide course.
• Must hold a current CNA registry.
• Must have a medical assistant course or certificate.

• Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program with basic fundamentals documentation.
• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Parkland's job specific training program.
• CPR Heartsaver certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs specified patient care activities under RN supervision, including basic hygiene care and unsterile treatments.
• Take vital signs, assist with mobility, and support feeding as needed.
• Advocate for patients, maintain confidentiality, and communicate with staff and families.
• Document care, vital signs, ambulation and feeding outcomes in the patient record.
• Maintain sanitation, infection control, safety, and correct use of equipment.
