Job summary

ARA Diagnostic Imaging in Austin, TX is seeking a courteous front desk receptionist to greet patients, gather visit information, and provide accurate guidance on exams and procedures. You will handle confidential records, verify insurance details, and support check-in/billing processes.

The role requires a High School Diploma, excellent customer service, and strong organizational skills. Knowledge of medical terminology and clinic workflows will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to communicate clearly and tactfully, verbally and in writing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are needed.
• Knowledge of medical reception tasks, clinic procedures, medical terminology and paperwork processing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Displays exemplary customer service at all times with both internal and external customers including a positive, friendly and caring attitude.
• Greets patients and visitors, determines the nature of their visit and provides accurate, appropriate information.
• Provides information regarding particular exams and procedures including prep information.
• Prepares, processes, and maintains all confidential records on new and existing patients.
• Verifies patient identity, retrieves and processes current patient insurance information and checks for exam authorization during check in and billing processes.
