Ascension in Georgetown TX is seeking a Patient Service Representative in Imaging to provide friendly, efficient administrative and clerical support to patients and customers in a medical setting.

You’ll greet patients, verify demographics, obtain insurance authorizations, schedule appointments, process charges, collect co-pays, and maintain daily reports. A High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience or ability to provide friendly, helpful support to patients and visitors.
• Proficient in general office and clerical tasks in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, check patients in and out, and verify demographic information.
• Obtain and verify insurance authorizations/precertification; schedule/confirm patient appointments; complete medical record release requests.
• Enter, review and submit charges for patient procedures; collect co-payments; reconcile daily reports and deposits.
• Provide general office and clerical support to the assigned imaging area.
