Job summary

Prevea Health is seeking a Patient Account Representative to work directly with patients with outstanding balances and guide them through available financial arrangements. You will support the clinic's revenue cycle and maintain professional relationships while navigating sensitive conversations.

Responsibilities include counseling, setting up payment plans, documenting activity, and collaborating with Business Office teammates to ensure accuracy and timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and empathy for navigating sensitive financial conversations.
• Familiarity with clinic credit policies, billing procedures and basic healthcare financial processes.
• Experience in patient financial services or collections is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients on balances and payment options per clinic policies.
• Set up and document payment plans via phone.
• Follow up on self-pay balances to ensure timely resolution and accurate status.
• Coordinate with other departments regarding patient accounts and payments.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the patient accounting system.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule to meet service needs.
• Perform related duties to support Business Office operations.
