Qualifications

• Basic computer proficiency and keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, visitors, and callers with a warm, professional demeanor.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, co-workers, and insurance representatives.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and minimize wait times.
• Provide clear directions and information regarding appointments and procedures.
• Accurately register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Schedule appointments and communicate preparation instructions.
• Verify eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements.
• Complete referrals and required documentation accurately.
• Discuss patient financial responsibility and collect payments when applicable.
• Process and accurately post patient payments.
• Balance cash drawer according to procedures.
• Refer patients to financial assistance programs when appropriate.
• Obtain required signatures and documentation for insurance and forms.
• Ensure HIPAA/Medicare compliance and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and other departments.
