Job summary

HopeHealth is seeking an experienced Palliative Nurse Practitioner for its affiliate, primarily treating patients at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. This full-time role operates 8:00am–4:30pm and is eligible for benefits.

The NP provides relief of suffering, performs pain and symptom assessments, communicates goals of care, and collaborates with providers to optimize patient and family support in hospice and palliative care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or clinical Doctorate in nursing.
• Certified as a Family/Geriatric or Adult NP and RN/NP in RI (and MA) required.
• 1–3 years NP/PA experience, preferably in Palliative Care.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Conduct pain assessments and provide management recommendations.
• Manage non-pain symptoms (nausea, fatigue, dyspnea, anxiety).
• Collaborate with treating physicians and families on prognosis and goals.
• Coordinate care and serve as hospice/palliative care expert.
