Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Part Time Patient Services Coordinator to join the Texas Oncology Medical Oncology Department at the Rowlett clinic (9100 Lakeview Parkway). Typical work week is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This role greets patients, schedules appointments, and handles calls and paperwork with a focus on compassionate patient care. Level may be 1, 2, or Sr based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Receptionist experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
• Must successfully complete required e-learning within 90 days of occupying position.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors to the clinic in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
• Registers and schedules appointments for patients efficiently.
• Answers and routes incoming calls to appropriate personnel and relays messages.
• Collects co-pays and balances; provides receipts.
• Maintains lobby area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Adheres to confidentiality and HIPAA laws regarding patient records.
