Job summary

Naples Comprehensive Health - NCH is seeking a Coordinator Patient Care in Medical Oncology DNH to ensure a seamless oncology patient experience, manage scheduling, verify insurance, and serve as a liaison between patients and the clinical team.

You will coordinate new patient intake, maintain EHR records, collaborate with physicians and nurses, and arrange tests while clearly communicating plans and timelines to patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration preferred.
• Experience in oncology settings is desirable.
• Proficient in Epic or Cerner EHR systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for oncology patients guiding them through appointments and referrals.
• Coordinate new patient intake including medical records and scheduling.
• Maintain and update patient records in the EHR system.
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams for care coordination.
• Schedule diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging with patient prep guidance.
• Verify insurance eligibility and communicate financial responsibilities.
• Provide emotional support and empathetic communication to patients.
• Explain treatment plans and next steps as a consistent resource.
• Track no-shows, reschedules, and outstanding tests to maintain continuity.
• Participate in department meetings and contribute to quality improvement.
