Job summary

Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH) is seeking a Coordinator for GYN Oncology Procedures to manage surgical and radiology scheduling, insurance authorizations, and patient communications. The role supports physicians, hospitals, and insurers to ensure smooth treatment workflows.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a medical office setting, strong organization, and proficient computer skills (MS Word/Excel/Outlook).

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting.
• Prior experience with medical insurance/authorization process.
• Excellent organization and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task.
• Superior computer and telephone skills.
• Intermediate computer knowledge: uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and co-ordinate surgery and radiology procedures between patient, physician and hospitals.
• Obtain authorizations for chemotherapy and port flushes as needed.
• Extensive contact with physicians, patients, hospitals and insurance companies.
• Schedule all surgeries and radiology procedures at hospitals and/or radiology offices.
• Communicate pre-operative and pre-radiology workup to patients.
• Maintain timely communication with patients, hospital departments and physician offices.
• Obtain all authorizations for surgeries and radiology procedures.
• Maintain contact between referring offices for coordinating surgery assists if necessary.
• Maintain surgery schedule in book and in computer so physicians can access their schedules.
• Verify insurance information prior to scheduling.
• Coordinate with the financial counselor to communicate financial responsibilities with patients.
• Other duties as assigned by Practice Manager
