Job summary

Principle Choice Home Healthcare & Hospice is seeking an On-Call Hospice Nurse to provide after-hours nursing care to clients in their homes within Oklahoma. You will handle urgent visits, triage calls, manage pain and symptoms, and support families emotionally.

Requirements include active Oklahoma RN licensure and a valid driver's license; ACLS is preferred. This role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Current RN nursing licensure in Oklahoma.
• BCLS certification is required; ACLS preferred.
• 1–2 years hospice nursing experience is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with reliable vehicle or access to transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to clients outside weekday hours.
• Triage via telephone and conduct urgent home visits as needed.
• Manage acute pain and other symptoms; document care.
• Offer emotional support to clients and families; explain treatments.
• Monitor intake/output; assist with mobility and safety during transfers.
• Ensure understanding of release instructions and coordinate with medical staff.
