Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health in Sheboygan, WI is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the Med/Surg team. You will assist RNs with daily patient care, document vitals and I&O in the EMR, and help with admissions, transfers and discharges.

This full-time role requires handling routine tasks, ensuring patient safety, and supporting hospital operations. Certification requirements include BLS and state Nurse Aide registration.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic computer skills and EMR usage.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, hygiene, feeding, mobility).
• Record vital signs and inputs/outputs; document in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges under supervision.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Handle errands and stock nursing area; clean equipment and work areas.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and nutritional needs.
