Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care, including bathing, hygiene, feeding and ambulation.
• Measures and documents vital signs and intake/output in EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates patient/family observations to RN.
• Assists in admission, transfer and discharge tasks and room setup.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as directed.
• Runs errands, maintains nursing area stock, cleans equipment and work areas.
• Performs positioning and transporting duties with proper technique and assistive devices.
• Maintains skin integrity and ensures proper use of TED hose and compression devices.
