Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Charlotte, NC seeks a Nursing Assistant for the Admission Discharge Transition Unit. This full-time role (36 hours/week) involves direct patient care, daily living activities, vital signs, and coordinating with the nursing team to ensure safe and timely admissions and discharges.

You will support patient comfort, communication with families, and adherence to safety and infection control protocols, with opportunities for growth within a large health system.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Certification as Nursing Assistant preferred or required where applicable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills essential for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and introduce self and role at start of shift.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and comfort.
• Record vital signs and maintain patient safety.
• Communicate patient needs to nursing staff clearly and promptly.
• Respond to call lights and assist with comfort and daily care.
• Support discharge planning and patient transfer processes.
