Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Trinity Hospital: Mercy – Nursing: Admission Discharge Transition Unit in Charlotte, NC. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week with a schedule of approximately 6:45a–7:15p.

Pay ranges from $20.80 to $31.20 per hour, with benefits eligibility. The position involves patient introductions, basic care, vital signs, documentation and collaboration with the RN and care team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• CPR (Heart Saver) certified within 6 months of employment.
• Bi-lingual skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Introduces self and role to patient at start of shift.
• Provides water pitcher to patient when appropriate.
• Places call light and phone within reach.
• Assists patients with daily activities and hygiene.
• Transports, transfers, and positions patients as directed.
• Ambulates and assists with feeding as needed.
• Documents patient information and communicates concerns.
• Responds to call lights and maintains infection control practices.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge processes as directed.

Skills
