Job summary

Advocate Health in Mount Pleasant, WI seeks a compassionate Nursing Assistant to support registered nurses in daily patient care, including bathing, feeding, mobility and monitoring vital signs within the EMR system.

You will assist with admissions, transfers and discharges, transport, specimen collection, stocking, and infection control. Requires basic computer skills, strong communication, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Certificate of General Education Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) or High School Graduate.
• Basic computer skills are required to document care in the EMR.
• Excellent oral and written communication and strong organizational abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, mobility, and observation of vital signs.
• Measure and document BP, temp, pulse, respiration, intake/output, daily weights and other data in the EMR.
• Perform purposeful rounding and promptly communicate observations to the RN.
• Assist in admissions, transfers and discharges and ensure patient belongings are managed.
• Stock, transport supplies, clean equipment, and maintain infection control practices.
