Job summary

Bickford of Marion is hiring a Medication Technician to support resident care, following MAR and the Six Rights of medication administration, and using the eMAR system to ensure accurate dosing. You will communicate with clinical leadership and help supervise other team members on shift, embodying the mission to compassionately care for residents.

The role requires an active Medication Technician Certification or at least one year of senior-care experience, CPR and First Aid, and a high school

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience in the care of seniors.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are given per physician orders.
• Follow Six rights of medication administration and Bickford policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification or direction.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as appropriate.
• Demonstrate Bickford's mission on shift.
