Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 8 hours medication administration training required.
• 8 hours medication administration shadowing with an approved trainer.
• 4 hours of continuing education on medication administration annually.

Responsibilities

• Provides companion care including reading, visiting, and assisting with tasks per resident plan.
• Assists with bathing or showering for hygiene.
• Makes beds and keeps resident areas organized.
• Assists with dressing and respects resident privacy.
• Assists with light meal preparation as directed by plan of care.
• Schedules medical appointments and may accompany residents to appointments.
• Promotes independence and safety in resident care.
