Qualifications

• English proficiency in speaking and writing.
• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• 8 hours approved medication administration training with 85% passing score.
• 8 hours of medication administration shadowing with an approved trainer.
• 4 hours of continuing education on medication administration annually.

Responsibilities

• Provides or assists with medication self-administration after training.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living and personal care as planned.
• Assists with scheduling medical appointments and attending as needed.
• Maintains safety and infection control in resident care areas.
• Provides companion care and promotes independence.
• Performs vital signs and participates in care plans as directed.
