Job summary

Eskaton is a nonprofit aging services leader in Northern California, providing compassionate care across 23 communities. We are seeking a part-time on-site caregiver to support residents with daily living activities, medication assist, and mobility.

This role offers weekend morning shifts and a pathway to meaningful, community-focused work. Starting pay ranges from $21.65 to $27.32 per hour, with competitive benefits and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• 8 hours approved medication administration training with 85%+.
• 4 hours of continuing education on medication administration annually.
• Proficient communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provides companion care including reading, visiting, and assistance with resident plans.
• Assists with bathing and hygiene.
• Makes beds and keeps resident care area organized.
• Assists residents with dressing while respecting privacy.
• Assists with meal preparation per care plan.
• Schedules medical appointments and may accompany residents.
• Supports independence while ensuring safety.
• Assists with mobility and exercises as directed.
• Applies medications as ordered by physician, after training.
• Collects specimens as directed.
• Assists with meal delivery from Dining Room.
• Assists with personal laundry.
• Follows Eskaton emergency protocol and policies.
• Completes weights and vital signs as noted on plan of care.
• Provides respite services for spouses or family.
• Participates in activities as directed by activity or care coordinators.
• Physical requirements: tolerate up to 50 lbs, etc.
• All new hires sign arbitration and pass post-offer checks.
