Job summary

Eskaton Properties is seeking a compassionate nurse aide or caregiver to provide resident-focused companionship and daily living support in a part-time, on-site role in California. You will assist with bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments, following each resident’s plan of care.

Strong English communication is essential, with medication assistance training required. We value safety, privacy, and respectful engagement as you support independence and well-being

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 8 hours approved medication administration training and passing grade of 85% or better on exam.
• Satisfactory completion of 8 hours medication administration shadowing with an approved Trainer.
• 4 hours of continuing education on medication administration annually.
• Proficient ability to communicate orally and in writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Provides companion care including reading, visiting, and assisting with personal tasks per resident plan.
• Assists with bathing or showering for resident cleanliness and hygiene.
• Makes beds, tidies rooms, and maintains organized resident care areas.
• Assists residents in dressing and respects privacy during care.
• May prepare light meals per resident’s plan of care.
• Helps residents schedule medical appointments and may accompany them as directed.
• Promotes appropriate independence and safety in resident care.
• Assists with simple range of motion or exercises and supports fitness activities as directed.
• Applies prescribed medical or adaptive devices and supports medication administration after training.
• Collects specimens as directed and assists with meal trays or dining room tasks.
• Assists with personal laundry and adheres to Eskaton policies and procedures.
