Job summary

Eskaton Properties Incorporated is seeking a Resident Medication Assistant (Memory Care, On-Call) in California. You will support residents with self-administration of medications under supervision, following RCFE guidelines and Eskaton policies.

The role includes direct care tasks, documentation, and coordination with care teams. Starting pay ranges from $21.65 to $27.32 per hour, reflecting responsibilities, experience, and market factors.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or G.E.D. preferred.
• 8 hours approved medication administration training and passing grade of 85% or better on exam.
• Satisfactory completion of 8 hours medication administration shadowing with an approved Trainer.
• 4 hours of continuing education on medication administration annually.
• Proficient ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Provides companion care such as reading, visiting, assisting with personal tasks per resident's plan of care.
• Assists with bathing or showering for hygiene.
• Makes beds and keeps resident care areas organized.
• Assists residents in dressing and respects privacy.
• May prepare light meals as directed by the plan of care.
• Helps schedule medical appointments and may accompany residents to them.
• Promotes independence and safety in resident care.
• Assists with simple range of motion or exercises as directed by nurse or therapist.
• Applies medical or adaptive devices as ordered.
• Assists residents with self-administration of medications after training.
• Collects specimens as directed.
• May deliver meal trays or assist dining.
• Assists with personal laundry.
• Follows Eskaton safety policies and emergency protocols.
• Completes weights and vital signs as noted.
