Cascadia Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide to administer and assist with routine and non-routine medications under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services. The role emphasizes resident dignity, independence, and safety within a vibrant community.

The position requires adherence to nursing practices, accurate documentation, and effective communication with physicians, residents, and families.

Competenze

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Hold current First Aid and CPR Card.
• Maintains a current Food Handler card.
• Able to pass a criminal background and fingerprint check.

Mansioni

• Completes simple nursing treatments and monitors residents as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Performs tasks including vital signs, weights, creams/ointments, specimen collection, and safe resident handling.
• Follows safety, fire/safety, and infection control procedures and reports unsafe conditions.
• Maintains accurate medication/treatment records, noting omissions or PRN administration.
• Records narcotics and reports medication errors promptly.
• Communicates changes in resident conditions to the Director of Nursing, physician, and families.
• Documents care in logs and incident reports and ensures timely communication with all parties.
• Communicates with physicians, pharmacies, residents, and families to ensure timely receipt of medications.
• Delivers direct resident care while promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
• Greets residents, visitors, and staff with respect and confidentiality.
• Participates in required meetings/trainings and supports caregiving staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
