Job summary

Cascadia Senior Living in Olympia, WA seeks a Medication Aide to assist with routine and non-injectable medications, ensuring compliance with physician orders and nursing practices under the Director of Nursing Services.

You will perform essential duties including vital signs, documentation, communication with physicians and families, ADL assistance, and adherence to safety and control protocols, while respecting resident dignity.

Qualifications

• Must hold current CNA/HCA license in good standing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must hold a medication pass certification per state requirements; Current First Aid and CPR.
• Maintains a Food Handlers card.
• Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check.
• General computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Administer and/or assist with self-administered medications per orders.
• Maintain accurate medication/treatment records on each resident’s chart.
• Record narcotics and report medication errors immediately.
• Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family to ensure timely med delivery.
• Assist with or perform ADLs and document care provided.
• Ensure resident dignity, privacy, and safety at all times.
• Follow infection control and fire safety practices.
