Job summary

Cascadia Senior Living in Washington state seeks a dedicated Medication Aide to assist with routine and non-routine medications, including self-administration support per physician orders and nursing practice standards. This role emphasizes resident dignity, independence, and timely communication with the team.

Responsibilities include vital signs, documentation, narcotics counts, and safety procedures. Requirements include a CNA/HCA license, medication pass certification, and CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold current CNA/HCA license in good standing.
• Medication pass certification per state requirements.
• Current First Aid and CPR Card.
• Maintains a Food Handler's card.
• Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check.
• General computer literacy with Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Administer and assist with medications per orders.
• Record medications given or omitted in resident records.
• Document controlled substances counts and report errors.
• Report changes in resident conditions to DON, physician and family.
• Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family to ensure timely med delivery.
• Provide direct resident care while respecting dignity and independence.
• Assist with ADLs and document care in logs and reports.
• Greet residents and maintain confidentiality and rights.
• Follow infection control and safety practices.
• Attend meetings and trainings; perform other duties as assigned.
