Cascadia Senior Living seeks a dedicated Medication Aide to support residents with routine and non-routine medications and self-administration under nursing direction. The role emphasizes dignity, independence, and timely communication with physicians, pharmacy and families.

Ideal candidates hold a CNA/HCA license, a current medication pass certification, and First Aid/CPR. Strong English skills and basic computer literacy are required; a high school diploma is necessary.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold current CNA/HCA license in good standing.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must hold a medication pass certification per state requirements.
• Current First Aid and CPR Card.
• Maintains current Food Handlers card.
• Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check.
• General computer literacy and knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and document administration.
• Maintain accurate medication records and treatments.
• Record narcotics and report errors immediately.
• Report changes in resident conditions to nursing leadership.
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies and families as needed.
• Assist with ADLs and document care in logs and reports.
• Greet residents and promote dignity and confidentiality.
• Follow safety, infection control and fire safety procedures.
