Qualifications

• Must be able to answer a high volume of telephone calls and utilize a multi-line telephone system.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills in operating a computer.
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and the public.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Organized team player with the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by promptly scheduling patients with the appropriate physician while maintaining a positive demeanor.
• Accurately obtain all required demographics and insurance information from the patient.
• Utilizes templates, scheduling assistant, protocol, and physician rotation to schedule patient appointments.
• Process incoming referrals, contact patients to verify information and schedule appointment, import referrals and/or records into patients chart, send correspondence to referring provider, and send new patient paperwork to patient all in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintains strictest patient confidentiality.
