Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Baytown, TX seeks a Medical Assistant who will be the first contact for patient care and perform both administrative duties and direct clinical tasks in a on-site clinic.

You will greet patients, take histories and vital signs, room patients, assist with procedures, handle specimen collection, administer medications as directed, and document thoroughly in the EHR/EMR to support quality measures.

Qualifications

• CMA or RMA certification from an approved organization.
• Completed MA training program or 5+ years MA experience with provider approval.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years MA experience required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Medication/vaccine administration experience.
• CPR certification required.
• TB screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-visit planning based on patient visit type.
• Obtain and record medical history and vital signs.
• Room patients and assist providers with procedures and treatments.
• Specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Prepare and administer medication under provider direction.
• Document accurately in EHR/EMR including HEDIS/Stars measures.
