Job summary

Humana Inc. CenterWell Senior Primary Care seeks a Medical Assistant to be the first point of contact for patient care, handling administrative tasks and clinical duties within a high-quality care setting.

The role includes discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, administering medications and vaccines, performing phlebotomy, specimen collection, and maintaining EMR documentation. Collaboration with physicians and APPs is essential.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of MA experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certified
• Phlebotomy experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience (1+ year)
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and vaccines as scope allows
• Take patient vital signs and perform phlebotomy
• Document patient information into the electronic medical records system
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to deliver direct patient care
• Maintain examination rooms and ensure sterile and clean equipment
