Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You'll greet patients, collect histories, assist with exams, administer medications, and coordinate care to improve health outcomes.

The role requires completion of an accredited MA program with externship or internship, or equivalent credentials, with EMT/Paramedic options considered. Day shift, full-time position in Southeast Michigan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited MA program with externship or internship.
• EMT or Paramedic credentials accepted.
• Credentialed MA options include CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management programs.
