Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient care. Responsibilities include patient prep, history collection, assisting with exams and tests, medication administration, and patient education.

0–1 year experience preferred, with MA credentials or EMT/Paramedic background strongly considered. Position is full-time, 12-hour day shifts in Michigan, with opportunities for professional development and a patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Education requirements include: MA program and externship, MA internship, EMT or Paramedic programs, or Certified Athletic Trainer.
• Credentialed MA: MA certification or active license in Michigan is desired.
• Minimum experience: 0–1 year clinical experience, or 2+ years if no MA program completed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
