Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of a recognized MA program/externship/internship or EMT/paramedic credential.
• Current CPR certification and Michigan eligibility for MA certification preferred.
• Credentialed MA options (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories and vital signs.
• Assist with exams, procedures, testing and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
