Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help create a positive healthcare experience.

Responsibilities include patient prep, history taking, exams, testing, education, and coordinating care. Strong MA training and CPR are preferred. Day shift in Southeast Michigan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and approved MA training.
• Credentialed MA coursework or equivalent clinical training.
• Current CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and liaise between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
