Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support our providers and deliver exceptional patient care. You will directly interact with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help coordinate care to create a positive healthcare experience.

You will welcome and prepare patients, document histories and vital signs, assist with exams and testing, and communicate results and instructions with patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of one of the listed Medical Assistant pathways (MA program and externship, internship) is preferred.
• EMT or Paramedic training or Certified Athletic Trainer credentials are acceptable qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
