Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering excellent patient care. In this role, you'll welcome patients, document histories and vitals, assist with exams and testing, and help coordinate care.

Minimum requirements include a High School diploma or GED, completion of an MA program (or related credentials) and CPR. Certification eligibility or current MA licensure in Michigan is preferred; 0–1 year clinical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of accredited MA program and MA externship/internship; EMT/Paramedic/ATC programs acceptable.
• MA Certification or eligibility is preferred; current MI MA license/credential is a plus.
• CPR certification is required.
• 0–1 year clinical experience preferred; or 2+ years clinical experience if no MA program completed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and liaise between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
