Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers, greet patients, and assist with exams and procedures. You will document histories, vital signs, prepare rooms, and help ensure a positive patient experience.

The role is part-time with rotating shifts. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and completion of an MA program or equivalent, with EMT/paramedic or athletic trainer credentials as alternatives; CPR certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an MA program and externship or internship, or EMT/Paramedic training, or athletic trainer certification.
• MA credentialing is preferred; current MA certification or active licensure is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
