Job summary

VIVO Infusion, LLC is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant/Clinical Service Specialist for our Alexandria/Fairfax, VA infusion centers. You will welcome patients, assist medical staff, and deliver compassionate care in compliance with guidelines.

The role requires independence, strong initiative, and readiness to handle administrative functions when no patients are scheduled. Location options include Alexandria and Fairfax with a full-time schedule Tue–Sat, 7:30am–4:00pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• CPR/BLS required prior to start date.
• 1 year clinical environment experience required.
• 1 year administrative/patient-facing/customer service experience required.
• Phlebotomy and lab processing skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide front-end support, scheduling, and payments processing.
• Room patients in person or virtually and update the patient chart.
• Communicate pertinent patient data to providers and nurses for continuity of care.
• Assist medical staff and ensure efficient turnover of exam rooms.
• Collect, prepare, and submit ordered lab specimens as directed.
• Assist in obtaining prior authorizations for prescribed treatments.
• Triage patient calls and document messages.
• Manage supplies under supervision and maintain infection-control practices.
