Job summary

Emerus is seeking a licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) to provide focused nursing care under RN supervision. You will administer medications, document care, perform patient assessments, and coordinate with the health care team in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an approved LPN/LVN program, active LVN/LPN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. English fluency and compliance with state regulations are essential.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED and completion of an approved LPN/LVN program.
Two years of LVN/LPN experience in an acute care setting.
Current LVN/LPN license in the state where you practice.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Pedagogy IV Certification must be completed within 30 days of hire.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Provides safe, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients under supervision of the RN and according to the patient’s plan of care.
Performs assigned responsibilities to promote quality, safe patient care and excellent customer service.
Completes accurate and timely documentation reflecting the plan of care.
Conducts focused patient assessments in line with state practice acts and policies.
Administers medications according to organizational policies.
Communicates with patients, families, and the health care team to coordinate care.
Maintains a clean, safe work environment and adheres to infection control procedures.
Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality of information.
