Job summary

Qualifications

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Two years of LVN/LPN experience in an acute care setting.
• Current LVN/LPN license in the state of practice; BLS & ACLS certifications.
• Pedagogy IV Certification must be completed within 30 days of hire.
• Act 33/Act 73 clearances may be required in some states.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of the RN.
• Performs focused patient assessments as per state nurse practice act and policies.
• Completes accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Administers medications according to organization policies.
• Communicates with patients, families and the care team to plan and coordinate care.
• Maintains infection control and patient privacy and confidentiality.
