Job summary

Emerus is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for day shifts at a 16-bed small-format hospital. The LVN will provide safe, compassionate nursing care under RN supervision, coordinate with the care team, and ensure accurate documentation.

Required include a valid LVN/LPN license, English fluency, and BLS/ACLS certifications with Pedagogy IV due within 30 days of hire. This role supports patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and LVN/LPN license in the state of practice.
• Two years of LVN/LPN experience in an acute care setting.
• Current LVN/LPN license and active BLS & ACLS certifications.
• Pedagogy IV Certification must be completed within 30 days of hire.
• Fluency in English for written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients under RN supervision.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation reflecting the care plan.
• Administer medications per organization policies.
• Conduct focused patient assessments in line with nursing acts and policies.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team on care plans.
• Maintain infection control practices and patient privacy at all times.
• Ensure a clean, safe work environment and assist with care coordination.
