Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Protective Services Officer Unarmed at the Marshall Nemer Pavilion to ensure the safety of patients, visitors and staff. The role includes escorts, patrols, and enforcing hospital policies to maintain a secure environment.

The officer will respond to routine and emergency calls, document incidents, and coordinate with clinical teams and law enforcement as needed. A HS diploma, BLS within 6 months, and 1–2 years of security experience are preferred; Non-Violent Crisis

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Vocational/Technical degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Protects patients, visitors and employees by escorting and patrolling hospital grounds.
• Deters crime through routine patrols of parking areas and buildings.
• Enforces hospital policies, parking rules and safety protocols.
• Monitors security systems and responds to incidents and alarms.
• Documents duties and incidents with logs and reports.
