Mercy Health is seeking a Protective Services Officer (Unarmed) at Springfield Regional Medical Center in Springfield, OH to support safety for patients, visitors and staff. The role responds to calls, participates in investigations, and ensures a secure environment across hospital grounds and facilities.

Responsibilities include patrolling, enforcing hospital policies, monitoring CCTV, and documenting incidents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/Technical Degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; BLS within 6 months of hire; RSFH licensure requirements (SLED) within 6 months and TASER training within 60 days.

Responsabilités

• Protect patients, visitors and employees by escorts and patrols.
• Deter criminal activity through routine patrols of hospital property.
• Enforce policies (parking, visitation, drug enforcement, tobacco policy).
• Monitor CCTV to identify escalating situations needing protective services.</br>Document all duties and incidents with logs and reports.
• Intervene in confrontations as appropriate.
