Job summary

Amedisys, a member of the Optum family, is seeking a Per Diem CNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients at the end of life, supporting families per the care plan.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient status, follow written instructions from nurses, and document changes. Perks include a comprehensive benefits package and 401k; pay ranges from $16.00 to $22.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current state CNA certification (or registration) per state requirements.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care to patients.
• Assists with activities of daily living and positioning.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs light homemaking and environmental tasks.
• Observes and reports changes to patient status to the nurse.
• Follow written care instructions from a registered nurse.
• Assists with prescribed exercises as directed.
