Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is hiring a CNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients and support for families in end-of-life care. You will work with the hospice care team to ensure respectful, individualized care aligned with the care plan.

Required qualifications include state CNA certification, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation. The role offers a competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits based on full-time

Qualifications

• Current state CNA certification as per state requirements.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics during care.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports and documents changes in patient's status.
• Follow written instructions for personal care from a registered nurse.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.
