Job summary

Affinity Hospice is seeking a compassionate hospice aide (CNA) to join our home-based care team. Under RN supervision, you will perform essential personal care and observe patients to promote comfort and well-being.

Full-time, 40 hours per week, in patients' homes with flexible scheduling and local travel. Must meet state training/certification, hold CPR, be a licensed driver, and lift up to 50 lbs; prior CNA experience is appreciated but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification.
• Meet state training and certification requirements.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured and in good condition.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist patients with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and promptly attend to patient requests.
• Meet safety needs and use equipment safely (foot stools, side rails, O2).
• Assist with baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linen.
• Assist in dressing and feeding the patient as assigned.
• Assess and report patient condition and changes to the case manager.
• Document observations and care performed per procedures.
